SSINT x Nigel VMU (VMU Editions): Precision Encapsulation at the Highest Standard
At SSINT Grading, we take immense pride in being trusted with projects where precision, consistency, and protection are non-negotiable. One recent special order perfectly reflects this commitment: a large-scale encapsulation project for Nigel VMU (VMU Editions), a highly respected name within the art and design space.
Nigel approached SSINT to encapsulate 600 limited edition Certificates of Authentication (COAs), custom made for his latest collectible releases — AIR MUG 1 and JUMP MUG 1. Each certificate accompanies one of these limited-run pieces, making long-term protection and presentation absolutely essential.
Why Encapsulation Matters for Limited Editions
Certificates of Authentication are more than paperwork — they are a core part of provenance. For artists and collectors alike, a COA verifies originality, protects value, and reinforces trust in the edition.
In this project, the challenge was not only volume, but absolute uniformity. All 600 certificates needed to be encapsulated to the same exact standard, ensuring:
-
Long-term protection against environmental damage
-
Tamper resistance
-
A premium, presentation-ready finish
-
Consistency across the entire limited run
This is precisely where SSINT’s encapsulation process stands apart.

Calibrated Ultrasonic Welding – The SSINT Difference
Every encapsulation completed by SSINT is sealed using ultrasonic welding, a process that permanently bonds the case without adhesives, glue, or mechanical fasteners.
For Nigel VMU’s project, our equipment was calibrated specifically for this run, ensuring:
-
Uniform pressure across every seal
-
Clean, seamless welds with no stress marks
-
Zero compromise to the internal certificate
-
A tamper-evident finish that cannot be reopened without visible damage
This level of calibration is critical when working at scale. Whether we are encapsulating a single high-value item or hundreds of certificates, the standard never changes.
The result? 600 encapsulated COAs that are not only secure, but visually aligned with the premium nature of Nigel’s work.

Built for Trust, Chosen for Reliability
Being entrusted with this project is something we value greatly. Artists and creators only get one opportunity to release a limited edition correctly — and the partners they choose must reflect that responsibility.
Nigel VMU’s decision to work with SSINT reinforces what we aim to represent:
-
Precision engineering
-
Reliable processes
-
High-end presentation
-
Consistent quality, even at volume
We were genuinely pleased to support this release and ensure each certificate met the standard expected by collectors worldwide.
Supporting Artists, Creators, and Collectors
While SSINT is widely recognised for trading card grading and encapsulation, this project highlights something equally important — our ability to support custom, non-standard items with the same attention to detail.
From certificates and art cards to bespoke collectibles, our cases and ultrasonic welding process are designed to protect items that matter.
If you’re an artist, brand, or collector looking for professional encapsulation that reflects the value of your work, SSINT is ready to help.
